If you are planning to gift, your employees do give everyone equally. If the gift chosen is different for the employees, the cost should be almost the same. If all the employees are male it is advisable to give the same gift to everyone be it a manager or clerk or any other employees.
If the gifts are planned for just a few then be diplomatic and tactfully hand over the gifts without the other person knowing about it. Try to give the gift out of the office. Try not to create negativism inside the office, which will spoil the atmosphere of the office. Give the same gift to the entire employee do not favor people.
Give some impersonal gifts Do not take the risk of giving gifts that, is not be well received by your employee. Choose the gifts wisely, and use common sense. Keep in mind that gifts to the employees are very different from the gifts you give it to your partner or friends.
Be careful, do not give chocolates to your diabetic employees this will not go well with him/her. Do not have gender bias try to give equal priced gifts to the female and male employees. Best is choose the gift which will be suitable for both the male and female.
In case the employee returns the gift, which he does not find suitable, do not go overboard and throw him out try to understand his viewpoint and accept it. Appreciate the person’s honesty. When giving the gift just do not gift anything, take into account their religion, health etc and then decided upon the gift do not hurt them in the bargain by giving them inappropriate gifts.
The gifts can be given for a home you do not have to see the gift at the office as else they will be forced to use it in the office even if they do not like it. Try not give gifts with the double meanings which can insult the employees. If you are gifting something to your employees remember do not hurt their sentiments.
